I keep getting an error with IE when i run it. It comes up with the message MICROSOFT INTERNET EXPLORER HAS ENCOUNTERED A PROBLEM AND NEEDS TO CLOSE. WE ARE SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE. It then goes on to desrcibe a signature error Appname :iexplore AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106 ModName: wsem214.dll e.t.c...

Can anyone advise on a way to resolve this issue.

LC, Follow the instructions to get rid of the parasite that you have on your system at the link below. Looks like you have the "Wsem variant".
