Hi,

I've just re-installed Win98 on my notebook computer and since i've done this, when I log onto the network, Internet Explorer automatically opens. I've had this before, but can't remember the resolution to stop it happening.

Can someone help?

Thanks
Dean.

Right click on the IE icon go to programs and unclick, internet explorer should qheck to see if it is the default browser.

Dean,

The easiest way to stop this is to check your Startup folder.

Start
Find
Files or folders
Startup

There may be several that open up. If iexplore.exe is in one or more of those folders, delete it.

No go, tried both of these already.

Is there a registry key I might have to adjust?

Thanks
Dean.
