Comment: This is a follow up to my internet problems post. If I uninstall IE 6 and tell it to revert back, wil it interfere with any other programs? And I need to know, will my outlook express main be safe reverting back?

Reply: (edit)if you use the uninstall feature at windows.update.com is the best? way to uninstall ie6. from what I've read here and other places that is the way to do it, with the best outcome. with minimal impact to oe.

Reply: (edit)I uninstalled IE 6 from my Windows ME system and now when I try to boot windows, all it does is go to the desktop screen, flash the start menu for a second and then everything except the desktop image disappears. When I press "ctrl-alt-delete" there aren't any programs to close. How do I fix this? I tried booting in safe mode and the same thing occurs. I can't re-install windows because if I boot with the boot disc, it doesn't recognize my CD-ROM drive. I can't loose all the info on my computer anyway. Please help me!!!
