IE blocks out Ebay.com and Nero.com(to name a few). When blocking it comes up with a message: "Microsoft Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I have reset the Security setting to Default, minimized Security, changed setting to be consistant with another IE6 computer that doesn't have a problem, with no positive results. The only thing that helps is to set Internet Security to maximum. But when I do this I can't get any of the ActiveX items to work. I use Norton Systemworks 2003 Pro.

In Norton, try turning off the Script Debugging feature.

I'm not on a computer that has Norton on it right now.

I think it's under the Options button. Go down and there should be an Option for Script Debugging.

If you have URLBlaze installed, it could be the problem. Message from Zeropaid.com - -
WATCH OUT! This program has spyware and a .dll (ubmon.dll) that creates conflict when browsing with Internet Explorer on some sites, including ebay and several others. It will cause IE to crash on these sites. It took me days to finally get to the root of this problem, which was URLBlaze, and the only way to fix it is by uninstalling the program. This program is not really worth exploring, there are very few files, and most of the links for torrents, ftp and other types of files found in the search don't work. The forums are ok, but not too much content. It is definitely not worth the potential problems it could cause.
