Comment: I just bought my new computer and I use Trumpet Winsock to connect to the PPP through my university. I made the mistake of activating the ICW for Internet Expolorer and have spent hours trying to get it to stop connecting and trying to get IE to recognize Trumpet Winsock. Could any one at least tell me how to get ICW to go away?

Reply: (edit)You could use ICW to connect to your University. If you want to stay with trumpet winsock. Go to control Panel on the start menu undr settings. Double click internet connection or internet options. click on the connections tab. click the circle that says, "Never dial an internet connection" or uncheck autodial. Ie4 and ie5 have differnt sayings.
