Subject: internet calling - headphone echo
Comment:

When talking using the AOL Instant Messenger(AIM)I get an echo of my voice even though both of us are using headphones. The other person does not get an echo. I get it even if the other person has the mic unplugged.
Both of us are on windows 98.
Anyone have any ideas??

1. If you dont have any insulation between
the mike and the earpeace this can cause your condition.
2. If your are on a dial up connection
and the telephone trunks between your serving office and the destination
dont have the same db gain then this can cause echo
