Juno, is still hanging around, after I deleted its files, and reinstalled win 95, to get rid of Juno.
-
When going to the Add/Remove chart, to uninstall Juno, it gives this message:
-
"Internal error- Unable to load or call external Dll. Please contact your vendor for information."
In the /Start/Documents section of win95, there is an uninstall icon. Click that, and I get the logon page, of Juno. Nothing about uninstalling. There seems to be no other uninstall file, in the Juno folder. I re-installed Juno, hoping to add its uninstaller back in the folder, and then uninstall. But, I get the above message, instead.

The first time, I installed Juno, I let it upgrade me to IE 5.0. (486 dx33, 20 mb ram, 400 mb HD, 160 mb free on HD, Win95) There was a memo, in a IE 5.0 text file, that if loaded, and installed, it woudl not allow you to then uninstall the previous version of IE. I wonder if it did the same, to the uninstall program, for the Juno itself too, as the IE 5.0 was installed by Juno. Don't know.

Thanks in advance, for reply's.

To add to above:
I did successfully uninstall the IE 5.0, that I let Juno add to my folder. But, Juno, doesn't want to be uninstalled..

Tweakui from

has a very nice add/remove feature that should help. Post results.

Failing that, enter the windows registry and silently delete all of the *Juno* related keys and folders in there as well as deleting the folders in Windows explorer relating to Juno. Be careful in the registry. I had a graphics tablet called *tabby* (micrograf) whose uninstall program ripped out parts of the sound card's files as well. I reinstalled the *tabby* software, entered the registry and went through with a fine toothcomb deleting every entry relating to *tabby* or *Micrograf international* and then deleted the *Micrograf Tabby* folder in Explorer. Result? A better uninstall than the Tabby uninstaller. This should work for you as well. Don't worry about any dll's left behind in windows/system as so long as there is no mention in the registry of them they won't raid the fridge when you are out.

While I've not seen the "internal error" message, I have had trouble uninstalling Juno. I've been able to run the Windows 98 uninstall, McAfee Uninstaller and Clean Sweep and manual "find" and "system" search and remove, apparently pretty much getting rid of all Juno files. Whenever I reinstall (either version 4 or 5), however, the problem that caused me to go through this rigamarole in the first place persists: Juno won't close itself on exit. The only way to close it is by using the "Close Program" utility (Ctrl+Alt+Del), which I must do in order to load Juno again (or any other program, for that matter). Juno 4 worked fine for about a year on my Pentium 90, 48 mb memory, 1 gig HD, but yesterday morning I woke up, and there was the problem. So I am sympathetic to you others with Juno problems. Otherwise, though, Juno, by and large, has been pretty good to us over the years.
