Subject: Installing Win98 over Win95?
Comment:

Hello, I have Windows 95 on my computer and I am planning on upgrading to Windows 98. Should I just install over Windows 95 or should I format the drive and start with a clean disk? I already have a full version of Windows 98. Thank You

Last 3 months I'm installed Win98 in our office more then 40 times. And by results of this practice I can say: If you have time, backup your working files (documents, pictures, ets.), kill all information, and install Win98 on clean disk. IMHO this is the best way.

chris, Backup all required data, and then fdisk hdrive, install 98.

that is the easy way for if you install 98 over 95 you will go mad as their are about 150 conflicts between the two os.
trust me a clean install is the easy way.

Chris, If I were you I'd stick with '95, In the last month alone, Ive had to re-install windows 98 5 times, because of its inhability to handle problems correctly
