Start with a good win98 boot disk. That will install your cd rom drivers. Win95 boot disks do not. From here find any format step by and follow it. You will first want to fdisk and remove all partitions then set new partitions depending on how many you want, set the main one active. Restart machine. Format c: /s for the main drive. Just use format:(drive letter) for each other drive. Now restart using boot disk, and choose start with cd rom support. Type in cd drive and copy win95 folder to hard drive:
C:\md win95
C:\copy (cd drive letter)\win95 c:\win95
c:\win95\setup.exe
Install windows.

I hope this is a little more help than the first post left you.

If you need more help please don't hesitate to email me.

The above will work if your CD drive is an IDE drive, as opposed to a proprietary drive which was prevelant on older 95 systems. If it is a proprietary drive, you need the DOS based drivers for that era/system, for that drive, which are loaded via config.sys (driver) and autoexec.bat (MSCDEX.exe.)
