installing OPTI82C924 audio driver

Comment: Has anyone had success in installing this older driver? I got it from the manufacturer's site via a good download and UNZIP, so the contents are good. This sound card,(no-name) has the OPTI 82C924 chipset; I pulled the baord and read it. The board had worked for years, but a format of C: forced re-installation. Now the Add Hardware function does not "see" information about this OPTI Audio chip no matter where the the uncompressed files are placed. The WINSETUP.exe does not succeed, because it finds the files are "damaged'" tho They are straight from OPTI. Any ideas?

Reply: (edit)At work, we have Opti 930 sound cards. To install those drivers in Windows 95 you have to do Add New Hardware\Other Devices then track the place you have the drivers. Drivers: http://www.opti.com/html/drivers.html#audio
