OS: win 98
CPU/Ram: ast bravo 200mmx/128 meg

have a 20 gig hard drive. problem is my cmos settings go to a maximum of 1024 cylinders. the 20 gig has 16383. hard drive is a fujitsu mpg3204at. any help would be appreciated...

You can download an 'overlay' program from the hard drive manufacturer's web site. It will overcome the bios's limitation.

In the BIOS, what setting is the hard drive on ?
Normal, Large or LBA ?
If you run the Hard Disk Detection utility, and choose LBA mode, you should get at least 8 gigs of the new drive recognised.
Probably you will then need the disk overlay program from Fujitsu, to have the entire 20 gig recognised ( the PC is not likely to be new enough to see 20 gig hard drives )
