on installation of win 98 problems with copying dlls from the cd occur i have tried installing from the hard drive and this still happens and even tried a different cd i reckon could be a possible cd rom problem what do you think

What are you trying to accomplish; are you trying a complete Windows install using the 'Setup' program on the CD? Or are you trying to add some files to an already completed installation? If so, you need to use an extraction program such as "System File Checker'. Since the Windows CD files are compressed, you cannot find them by simple browsing.
