I have aquired this neet little bit of kit but i have a problem.
Windows 95 is installed on it i has a 4 GB hardrive. it has no Diskette or cd-rom drive. but it does have a PCMIA (SP?) slot and thankfull i can use a card from another lap top in it. it also has a modem. USB port (that does not work with win 95 if i could get that to work sorted) but ironically no other means to get at the machine.
Does anyone know a sure fire way to install Win 98/se. if so i will be thankful.
I have no external diskettes or CD drives but access to networks

There are some concerns about upgrading a laptop without knowing exactly the limitations your particular model has.Look at the setup text files on the Win 98 cdrom and do a little search on the web about your model before taking any other route to setup.Good luck.

As an alternative, you might want to check out getting a 2.5" to 3.5" Hard drive adapter to connect the Laptop hard drive to a Desktop and install whatever Operating System works best for the laptop.
What type of laptop is it? (Brand/Model Number)
