Comment: How do I get my CD drive to work after I reformat my hard drive. I know that I need to have the drives on the start-up disk but I am not sure of the exact way of going about it. This is an older machine w/no rescue disk or anything of that sort. This machine is also in a lab setting w/several other identical machines around. Thank You!

Reply: (edit)Create a startup disk from the add and remove programs utility in ctrl panel. You should be able to load the cd-rom divers from there....and George is right...98/95 universal boot disk is a lifesaver to have.

Reply: (edit)Go into your BIOS and change the boot sequence to start with CDROM. Do that reboot and the Windows CD will boot you to a menu that you can install from.
