Comment: I stuck the network card in the PC and assigned it an IRQin the controlpanel/system/device manager/network adapter ( I think I did this thru add h/w in the controlpanel and later looked at it in controlpanel/system/device manager/network ) the card was defined by windows as ne2000 compatible. The card has no dip switches or jumpers to set the IRQ port or dma. After this the modem stopped working . I took out the card and it works again. Does any one know where I can find a UMC um9007f specific driver ? How do I set the ports ? Any other ideas to get the network card working together with the modem ? TIA - Joel

Reply: (edit)If memory serves, this card came with a diskette (which may have to be booted to load an MS-DOS prompt). This contained a diagnostic program and a utility to set IRQ's, etc.). It definitely is NOT a Plug-And-Pray card.
