Just a guess! But if you are having a problem, it 'could' be because you don't have enough memory.

The following site says 128mb is required.

Even if you find a program to do that (which I seriously doubt), Office will not run like a crippled turtle. I guarantee you will not be satisfied.

You can't install Office 2003 on 98 or even ME. You MUST be running Windows 2K or XP. And with those OS's, a minimum of 128 MB of RAM and 260 MB of HDD space available.

'fraid you're out of luck on this one.

i tried using my dad's office 2003 instal disk on a 98se computer that was in great shape. a message appered saying something like need windows 2000 or higher to install. so i tried office xp. that did not work either. so i tried office 2000 and that did work. office 2000 will aslo work for windows 95 because my school has a few computers running it that are running in 95.

Sure - when all else fails, try reading the instructions

Memory: 128 MB of RAM or greater

Operating system: Microsoft Windows® 2000 with Service Pack 3 (SP3), Windows XP, or later

Office 2K is indeed far less demanding

Open Office runs very nicely on a 98SE machine I use. But for goodness sake, add some RAM to that poor thing. I don't know how you can stand it.
