Sorry to take so much of your time....
Question...RE: vxd and dll files. One of your solution was to insert the Win98 CD and go to the "Cabinet Files"....when I insert the disk it's going to reinstall 98. Will this be alright. Nothing will be harmed. How do I get to the "Cabinet Files?"

Try cancelling the re-install and looking at the CD through explorer. Sound like thats what youre wanting to do.

IF you have Win 98, go to Start> Programs> Accessories> System tools> System Information> click tools, then System File checker. Click Extract one file from installation disk. Type in the file's name, then click start. If Windows has it, Win should find and replace it.
