I am using Win98 on my Laptop.I am having external modem on USB Port. My problem is this that i am unable to complete registration during dialup although my user ID and Password are 100 % right but even then during " Verifying User Name and Password" computer takes a lot of time and and at the it displays message that "registration is not complete and it also says something about PPP" i dont exactly remember error code but it was i think 721 or 730. I have tried 2 modems on this laptop but problem still persists. However both of these modems work fine on other computers with same ID and username. I have also reinstalled my Windows 98 but no fruitful result. Plz help me.

try re installing u'r dialup networking. some times it fixes the problem.
