Comment: My ISP offers a dial-up backup for when I travel, but recently the browsers stopped working, yet the IMs operate fine. Coincidentally, this happened right after I got the latest upgrade to YahooIM. If I reboot entirely, I can use the browsers (IE & Mozilla) for like 3 or four pages, then it acts as if I have no connection, although every other indicator says that I do. Is there a setting somewhere that's been changed that prevents my browsers from operating for more than three pages? If I sign back on without completely turning off my computer, I don't even get those 3 pages, just "Page cannot be displayed" and typical disconnected stuff. Tech support seems to only know about my home ISP, which is fine (not dial-up).

Reply: (edit)The solution may be to go back to the previous version of YahooIM, if possible. I use Yahoo as my Email provider and home page. Most of thier recent "improvements" haven't been.

Reply: (edit)Yahoo IM is Poppycock.. Use Trillian! There is one subtle yet vital difference between opinion and fact; and the bigger man is he who can whole-heartedly admit this.

Reply: (edit)Callum While you may well be right with your assessment of Yahoo IM that is what the poster uses. It is quite acceptable to suggest alternatives. Right now the user needs a resolution to thier problem.
