Has anyone looked on there win95 cd's most of the vxd files are in one of the disk cab files on the cd, you only need the cabinet file viewer from powertoy's to veiw and/or extract files from a .cab file

This message is for Lucy.In regards to motvcd.vdx,It is a motorola modem virtual device driver.You should have it on their install disk or be able to get it from their site.Worst comes to worst email me and I will mail it to you

my computer tells me vgartd.vxd is missing / not found but it is in the windows system files. I cannot get any major programs to start because of this. Iam running winows 98 is there anyone out there with any ideas!

Tried to upgrad W95 to W98, system PB 1956 supreme. Got message missing Vmm32\vpowerd.vxd. Tried to use the PB restore disk and Cd, after boot up message restore on drive Q then unable to read drive Q what doe the vpowerd.vxd do?

If that there sm56_ctl.vxd is for a so-called motorola modem then I would forget it. It's for the control panel settings, and they ain't on the installation cd. Win98 wants to stick it on IRQ10 all the time. I want to stick it elsewhere right now.

Not so much missing a File but upon boot up msg states duplicate vcd file within the system.ini file ?????? when checked two files are listed as follows; device=motvcd.vxd and device=*vcd . Now which one to be removed ??????? Most Hanous !!!!!!

well ya`ll ... if you did a proper search through LYCOS or even Hotbot you wouldn`t have these problems. These files are not too hard to find try this http://www.mightymaxcorp.com/drivers/MODEM /MOTOROLA/cd-1/ enough said.

About nwnlink.vxd... Just an educated guess, but from the name it sounds that it might have something to do with the NWLink-protocol. That is Microsofts version of the IPX/SPX-protocol. Check under the networking-properties if you have it installed. If you have - do you really need it? Try uninstalling the protocol and see if it helps. You might even need to try and install it first and then uninstall (if the error/problem is from a failed install in the first place...). The same goes for Nwnblink.vxd since the name *sounds* like it should have something to do with Netbios over NWLink...
