Debbie, Try to do a IE Repair. Go into your Control Panel, double click Add/Remove Programs, scroll down to Microsoft Internet Explorer and click it to hilite it, click the Add/Remove button which should give you 3 options, choose the Repair option, and click OK and let it do its thing.

Im not sure i know what you mean exactly
but your computer being next to or near to
another IC Amplified or driven unit
sometimes causes screen
inteference.Such as a Reciever or radio
too close,maybe even kettle.

This is not uncommon if you are
using a HOSTS file.
The red X indicates that a
picture from an ad-site
was not loaded.
This is good.
It makes the rest of
the page with the
actual information load faster.

You can verify this by
right clicking on the red X,
and then, click on properties.
You will get the URL for
the pic. If it is from an
ad-site, leave it alone.

If it is a real photo-pic,
you may need to repair IE,
if that is what you are using,
as someone else mentioned.

To do so, look for
Programs from the start button.
Then Accessories/System Tools.
Then System Information.
You will have several options
under Tools.
Choose Internet Explorer Repair Tool.
Click on the appropriate buttons.
