ok this problem is seriously ANNOYING.
I'll be happily surfing the net when all of a sudden an "illegal error" message will appear and make me close my browser...and in worse cases, make my computer crash. Does anyone know whats causing this and how to stop it??

No, i only have IE4.0 as this is what was already installed on 98. I cant seem to get anywhere else other than here, and my sisters horse game thing (www.horseland.com) without copping an illegal operation :(
Might 6.0 help stop this increasingly annoying thing?

I'd keep IE 4.0 as it would run better on Win 98 than IE 6. I HATE IE 6 and don't use it on ANY of my machines. IE 6 would severely use up many system resources. I never upgrade IE from the default. Others may disagree but this is my experience.

Also, is that error saying "EXPLORER" or "IEXPLORE" as EXPLORER is your windows desktop basically and I don't know how that would affect the interent.

Faris,
