When my computer boots up, a windows pops ups saying there is no iexplore.exe, but the file is in the system. Where is the location of the file supposed to be?

Hi Geof
Just check the spelling of that file...might it be iexpIore.exe ( an I after the p and not an L )
If that is the case, then I'm afraid you have a virus.
Go here for help on removalhttp://www.sophos.com/virusinfo/analyses/trojoblivionb.html

my virus program detected that i had iexpiore.exe ...so i deleted it and all the viruses that were spread as a result of it... i looked on sophos.com.. i followed all the instructions.. in the regedit.exe.. i did all the steps in the procedure. however.. in system.ini and win.ini... there was no reference to iexpiore... so i just restarted my computer.. hwoever i still get the same four errors... that it cannot find iexpiore and that there's a reference to it.. please HELLPPPPP

David,
Using regedit do a search for iexpIore.exe.
There are more references to that file than on the sophos.com article.
Hope this helps.
