Hi there All, I am got a problem, with IE6.0, as it is know that when u open a new window, it remains blank, and does nothing, I have downloaded SP1 for IE6.0, but it still doesn't work, I have reinstalled it a couple of times, but no joy, I have tried the regsvr32 "urlmon.dll" stuff, but still no joy. There was an old forum on this site, and one of the guys suggested getting the latest vb_runtime files, I have even done that, and it still doesn't resolve the problem, can anyone help me out on this.
Thank You..

Hi Amitd7,
There are 4 other library files that are depended upon when "Opening in a New Window".
They must also be properly registered.Shdocvw.dll
Msjava.dll
Mshtml.dll
Browseui.dllRegister those files also.
regsrv32 Shdocvw.dll
regsrv32 Msjava.dll
regsrv32 Mshtml.dll
regsrv32 Browseui.dll
Try renaming OLEAUT32.dll to OLEAUT32.old and then extract OLEAUT32.dll from your Win98 disk.If this does not fix the problem or causes more problems you can always delete the new file and rename ODEAUT32.old back to .dll

Seems as this has become more prevalent.
My dad e-mailed me this morning with the same problem. We checked the oleaut32.dll version and it was 3.50.5014.0
I looked it up and it said it was for WinXP.
I sent him version 2.40.4518.0
Renamed oleaut32.dll located in the C:\Windows\System folder from Dos to oleaut32.old and placed the one I sent into C:\Windows\System folder.
Problem was corrected.
