Click on Tools / Internet options on the web page and clear your temporary files. Your cache is full.

I read somewhere that it should be set at 385 megs. That's what mine is set at.

Mine has been set at 61mb by itself a few years ago and never had a problem.

When I go into Explorer, Properties for TIF I see it contains 2.19mb of stuff in it right now. I have been surfing for 45 minutes.

I have IE set to clear it upon exit too.

It could be that your ISP is having problems with the line.

You could call them and have them check.

Beansoup..thx for info...have set my vcache and vmem as in your advice...still doing the same..very slow. When I load a large page with lots of graphics it is almost impossible to scroll though. Was fine last week. Have not installed anything new, Have done a spyware check and comes up clean. Thinking maybe some thing else is running in back ground, but cannot find it. I use avg anti-virus..maybe it is missing something....any more help greatly appreciated...any good on-line scans??

Jake, The Free online Housecall is a good online virus scan. Here's the link.

Housecall

Your computer may have picked up some parasites. Download, install, read the directions, then update and run Ad-aware and Spybot Search & Destroy. Here's the links

remove the tick against "Format documents using my style sheet"
Tools, Internet options, Accessibility. This makes a HUGE difference to the keyboard and mouse response.
