i m getting this msg "Setup was unable to download the required components" while running IE6 Setup... i've read in another post abt trying an alternate download location but pls tell me how to do tat?.. i mean when i run my setup, it automatically chooses a download site for me..so pls help me...using Win98SE

This may not be the correct answere in your case, but since Microsoft moved to their new download page, there have been problems...

I download updates and service packs from microsoft every day and sometimes I cannot download, sometimes one machine I am working on will download and another machine sitting right next to it will not download...

Just keep trying, maybe it will work better later...

Hello Muhammad,
I think better your download didn't perform a correct download, in that case of course the setup don't match later, better you ask to install the program directly from the site, it goes faster as well as to control during installation all components already installed....
