What this stems from is I had a problem with Norton AntiVirus 2004 which required me to uninstall and reinstall which I am unable to do cause I cannot get a good istall even when I unload everything at startup to get clean install. Sounds pretty messed up.
Before you try and fix the individual problems. It's best to look for the underlying cause. Try checking your memory first. The program in the link will create a bootable floppy. Let it run for a while.
