Hey all, I have Windows 98 and IE6 running on it. I want the default size of the text in IE6 to be 'smaller' so I changed it from 'medium' in the VIEW menu. Everything seems okay untill I restart my machine, it returns to 'Medium' size.
I've had a quick scan through the registry but can't find anything. I know you can do it because that's how I had it in IE5

Any help would be appreciated because it's really starting to p**s me off :oP

After making your choice under View as you have done, additionally, try the following to see if it helps. Please post back your result:-)

1. Open *IE 6.0*
2.Click *Tools* >*Internet Options...*
3) Click the *General* Tab and click the *Accessibility....* button
button.
4) Please uncheck the all the 3 options under "Formatting" such as:

0. "Ignore colors specified on Webpages"
0. "Ignore font styles specified on Web pages"
0. "Ignore font sizes specified on Web pages".
6) Click *Ok*, click *Ok*.
7. Test

Hi Guys
Thanks for the help, i've managed to fix the problem.

MadHuriMN - Thanks for the help but I'm a web developer and use CSS and need colours sizes and styles to be allowed.

Dan - your link helped me:

If you change the text size settings in Internet Explorer 6 to something other than the default (medium) and then view an e-mail message that uses Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) format in Outlook 2000, Internet Explorer reverts to its default text settings the next time you start Internet Explorer.

TO FIX THIS

To resolve this issue if you are using Internet Mail Only mode in Outlook:
In Outlook 2000, click Options on the Tools menu, and then click the Mail Format tab.
Under Stationery and Fonts, click Fonts, and then click International Fonts.
Select the font size that you want to use in Internet Explorer, click Set as Default, and then click OK until you can quit the program. The font size should no longer revert to the former default (medium) in Internet Explorer.
