I am experiencing a problem with IE6 using windows 98se.The problem is that when I click links in email and on some web pages all I get is blank windows. Sometimes more than one. I have tried repairing IE6 using the add/remove, tried microsofts 281679 fix, tried setting to defaults, etc. but nothing seems to work. When I uncheck "make IE6 your default browser" some links in email work. Everything seemed to work OK before I installed IE6 SP1. Any ideas on this one would be helpful.

Hi A1, Darksea, hello everyone,

Post back with the version of oleaut32.dll on your computer.

It is located in C:\Windows\System.

Right click on it and select the Version Tab.

Best Regards,
Mesich

Thank you all. Extracted oleaut32.dll from installation disk and overwrote existing file. All is happy again. Many thanks.
