I loaded IE5 and Outlook Express onto a PC with Win98. The desktop icons no longer have their text label in view. Outlook Express no longer has text on the toolbox icons as well.

Any ideas on a fix or cause?

5, is a pain in the butt. When I hit "stop", it brings up "my computer". Hit the backspace, and it does the same, or has a tendency to lock up. The scroll bars lock up. And to top it off, while using it, and in my mail acct, everything dissappeared from the acct. Maybe it was hotmail, maybe it wasn't....but hell of a coincidence.

Also, while using my wp, was trying to get a file to work on, and all of a sudden, I had gotten a email, that I had typed earlier, in another acct. Bear in mind, I didn't type it in the word processor. I had been out of that acct for over an hour.
