Comment: I cannot upgrade my IE5 to IE6 via ms website. The "Windows Dialog" box just freezes up at 0%immediately. I tried Mohan's fix (Nov 2004) but like Penny Lane, my pc couldn't find the "entry point" for "regsvr32 Shell32.dll". What does it mean, anyway. Come on you guys. Help!! Chris

Reply: (edit)You might try an aolcd or another of the free cds' you can get at the supermarket. Many different isps now have a copy of IE6 on the cd. Just put the cd in and brows for the setup file.

Reply: (edit)Shell32.dll is not a self-registering file, no wonder it won't work. Reply: (edit)You can download IE6 SP1 in full like this: DOWNLOAD INFO This will be a big file so not so good if you are still on dial-up. It still begs the question as to why you can't do the normal update tho. Derek.W

Reply: (edit)WSH is disabled maybe? Or using a script blocker? I too would recommend downloading it and then installing it from your hard drive. Bryan
