I use IE5 a lot recently since my Netscape 4.7 mysteriously began to freeze up.
Could anyone tell me how to configure IE5 so that when I right click on a link, and select the "open in new window", menu command, the new IE5 window will be maximized?
I'm sick and tired of having to maximize every new window I open. Netscape always opened links using the "new window" options as maximized pages.
Thanks for any help.

G'day preston, I've been pondering about this post for a few hours and dicided to investigate. I use IE4.01 and 5.0 in compatabilty mode with each other and this is what I found.
IE4 will open all new windows to maximum size
IE5's browser opens in minimum size and when maximized all new windows are in minimum size like you said, so I manually enlaged the new window to about ¾ size and opened another new window, it opened in max size, then another and another all then where in max size [I hope you are writing this down] but this seems to only be a session thing as I could not find, as yet, any setting to set it full size permantly, perhaps a shortcut which is set maximum might do it or a Registry tweek.Hope this helped

There is a little cheat.
Although i can't find the setting to change to make the window change to 'maximised' view every time, i have another way!Right Click on any link, and select 'open in new window, then once opened increase the size of the screen manually, ie. drag the corners to the maximum area of your screen. Then close that window down, and start again - open a new window by right clicking on a link - hey presto - i remembers the size of the last window, and opens it to that size!
Hope it HELPS!!Chris

give this a try! when Closing the window hold down "Control" , windows SHOULD remember this setting?but..
