Anyone else annoyed by ie5's insistence on opening pages in a new window
really small. Well it has been driving me insane for ages, and I've never
been able to find a fix - that is until my lack of sleep studying for exams
delirium made me wonder where the template is and I found it. here goes:1. open ie and from any page right-click and select 'create shortcut' -
place it on your desktop.2. close ie, then double-click the shortcut on your desktop and a small
window should open.3. maximise this manually(bottom right corner) then hold down shift and
close
it.4. double click it to make sure it open up as you left it (maximised) -
don't proceed until this is right.5. right click on the new shortcut and select copy - paste it to
c:\windows\web.6. go to this folder and rename the file frm2new.htm to frm2newold.htm.
7. locate the file you previously copied there and rename it frm2new.htm
8 that's it - done

I would not believe that this would work because I did not have any files within C:\Windows\Web with the name frm2new.htm but I created one as you instructed and it works like a charm.
How the hell you figured that one out is beyond me. Way to go!
Thanks,
Bryan

Glad you're happy. I actually stuffed up the instructions a bit - you must be 1 step ahead. You have to manually maximise the new window you have opened before you get it to make the shortcut.
