Comment: Internet Explorer has been giving me trouble lately. A box saying that IE has performed an illegal operation or whatever and will close; or that when I click on a link, the computer will freeze up and I have to restart it. I downloaded the latest version, and the problem still persists. I reloaded the new version again, same problem. I don't necessarily prefer IE, but there are sites that do better in IE than Netscape. Also, from time to time, pop ups will pop up, up to five at a time, almost always in IE, and this causes IE to freeze up or to crash. Are there any free pop up blockers our there? Any help will be appreciated.

Reply: (edit)Google toolbar works pretty well. You can get at the the Google site. I also use a free program called POPKI. Do a search to find it.

Reply: (edit)Have you tried running Ad-Aware or SpyBot (free malware finders/fixers)? There may be something nasty lurking about on your machine. Derek
