Hi,
I have reloaded win98 and have been cleaning up this system, but when I use IE to go to microsoft site I get a error that the program performed a illegal operation and shutsdown. There is no problem going to other sites, strange huh? I have used spybot and adawear but same results.Any suggestions??

thanks

If you meant"Windows Update"[http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp] when you stated "Mocrosoft Site" in your post, click the Details button of the Illegal Operation error message, and post the first two lines from that error here in its entirety to find out what exactly the error was saying.
