Hello all, i have a relative who had a room mate. She kicked her out but, before she left, she decided to put a password on her content advisor in IE Explorer 5. No idea what the password is. She cannot access Internet now.
She has cable internet and i can ping her. I have deleted PWL file but to no avail to get rid of that password. Any ideas on how to get rid of password without going into regedit, as I am helping her over the phone.

I don't know how to do it without editing the Registry. Here's a link for how to do it.
Before doing this, it's worth backing up the Registry .. Go to DOS and type SCANREG /BACKUP (note the space before the slash). Then make your changes. If they don't work, you can restore the Registry by booting to DOS and typing SCANREG /RESTORE (again, note the space).
Don't know of any other way .. sorry 'bout that.
