Subject: ie address bar removal problem
Comment:

I can't remove one address from my address bar. I have deleted history, deleted cookies, deleted temporary internet files and checked favorites. This file has locked itself into my address bar and I need to know how to remove it. I will leave the address that is locked at the bottom, but can someone tell me how to get rid of this without reloading internet explorer.

The address is:

I am sure you tried this, but just checking-- go to tools
--internet options
--and change the adress that is in the bar

If this does not work, I assume the adress is being stored in your registry, which is a whole different beast!
Let me know if this works (or if I am even understanding the problem)

Here is one that might work and also give you a pretty good tool to get rid of future registry entries of things you don't wish to keep. Go to www.surecool.com, the download page and get reg cleaner. It is a great tool, free and a lot easier than having to use regedit. Once downloaded if it is in the registry after you find it you can delete it. You can also make sure the program does a backup prior to deletion so you are assured your system is safe or can be restored. Good luck
