My IE cannot display any web pages. The error msg : "page cannot be displayed" and "DNS errors"
Before that, i was re-installing win98se and ie6sp1 due to my explorer.exe is error. But my computer still able to connect to network. I am using internet connection through proxy. Others computer working properly.

Dont format your os. Try uninstalling ie. The dns is coming because you are not hooked up to the internet. Check to see if you have an ip. Simply by going to a prompt window and typing in "ipconfig". If none of the above work, then a simple call to your isp will do the job.
Hope that helps

If the above does not work, might be a corrupt winsock2 key in the Registry.
If you wish, give the following a whirl, but DO back up the Registry first. You wil also need the W98SE CD.
-Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel
-Double Click on Add / Remove Programs
-Click the Windows Setup Tab and remove the check from Dial-Up Networking in 'Communications'.
-Click Apply
-Do not reboot.
-Without closing Control Panel, go to Start >Run and type in "regedit"(without quotes) in the Open window, click OK
-Click the Plus Sign to the left of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
-Below this key, click the Plus Sign to the left of System
-Click the Plus Sign to the left of CurrentControlSet
-Click the Plus Sign to the left of Services
-Near the bottom of the list, you will see "Winsock2"
-Right click this file and select Delete-If asked if you are sure to delete..., select yes
-Close "regedit"
-Go back to Control Panel
-Double Click on Add / Remove Programs
-Click on the 'Windows Setup' tab.
-Double Click on 'Communications'
-Place a check back in 'Dial-Up Networking', click: ApplyRe-open IE or Outlook Express and see if it works.
