Comment:

Internet Explorer 6 will not work on my computer.

It hangs on "Detecting Proxy Settings" right at the start and no web pages will load. I have re-installed IE 6 a couple of times now, but no use. I have tried the repair tool from the Add/Remove Programs option of the control panel, but it gives me the error:
"Cannot repair Internet Explorer"
When I click on details it says that I am missing a file "jsproxy.dll". I have managed to download a copy of this file...but where does it go?

If someone could do a file search and just tell me what directory to copy this file to then that may fix the issue.

Thanks in advance...

Hello Danjay,
Then only one solution: erase all your internet explorer program to clean your register and reinstall it completely later...
Do it from the control panel "add & remove programs" in order to save the cleaning of somes importants DLL's connected to other programs of your windows...
