I can get online using Netscape 4.75 but get the "cannot find server" & "page cannot be displayed" error when using Internet Explorer ver. 5.50.4308.2900

Under Tools/Internet Options/Connections/ Setup to run the Internet Connection Wizard. This should re-establish any missing links in IE.

Also, another possibility if the above does not work: Tools/Internet Options/Advanced/ Restore Defaults.

Pls feed back.

Allan, many people have reported problems with ie5.5. 1st try to repair or remove/reinstall it , otherwise I would rather go for previous version.

Thanks for all the help from everyone. I found the problem and it was an oversight on my part. I have ZoneAlarm on my machine and it was blocking my access to the internet.
