Subject: Identifing mystery AGP video card
Comment:

Hello,
I'm helping a friend with a computer that his sister gave to his kids for Christmas. Its a clone with a AGP video card that I can't identify. He was told it was a ATI Rage card but it doesn't look like any on the ATI site (the serial #'s don't match either).
The only number on it is "F183156329 followd by Made in China" This number is on a sticker on the underside of the card. The card does have TV out on it (a RCA style TV out jack and a S video jack). On the metal card support it has 6326AGP stamped on it. The small chipset is covered by a copper color heat sink. There isn't any other numbers that resemble a serial number on the top side.
I am at a loss trying to find the right driver since I can't even identify the manufacturer. I know this is little to go on but if you would help me I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you for any assistance you can offer.

Right click your desktop, left click Properties. Left click Device Manager, left click plus sign beside Display Adapters. See if there is anything there giving you the info your looking for.

Tell your friend to call the pepole who sold him his computer to ask where the hell his ATI Rage card is. Although the Rage is a dated card it is still miles ahead of the crap SIS6326 they gave him and was false advertising. You should check to see if anything else in hte system was conveniently swapped for s---e hardware.

If the card was sold legally in the USA, and was not brought in individually, and not smuggled, it has a FCC number on it. It may not be a sticker, or it may be screened into the pattern of traces that make up the card.
This site: www.fcc.gov/oet/fccid, will give you the manufacturer and other info.
