GR33TZ PPL,

Recently upon inserting a CD ROM full of various utils (not copied of course!) my computer fell out with me and decided to hang like thief.

Attempting a soft re-boot, Ctrl Alt Delete brought me the most strangest of blue screen errors i have ever encounted.

It read:

The file system mounted on the volume had data that needed to be flushed. Some data on the volume was lost. Next time please check first to see if the volume can really be removed.

For want of a better phrase, what the hell's all that about?

Anyone experienced this error or no what its about?

Regards
Vito

ShutMeUpOrDown's advice is good if you have a Promise Controller but my wife gets the same BSOD on her old 486 with Win95 which has a VLBus controller. Nobody knows what causes this, especially Microsoft.
