I had this problem myself just a few days ago. And managed to fix it today. And seeing as I saw so many other people with it and no replies on how to fix it i thought I'd say how I did. Make sure you back up your contact list before doing this. Uninstall ICQ from your system. (I even deleted what was left in the ICQ folder afterwards). Rebbot your PC and go to the following site: http://www.digitalspider.cwc.net/tweak/ scoll down and your see the line saying "If you have downloaded and run the IE4 Tweakin' Tool but get an error message saying that it is linked to missing Export MFC 42.DLL:6442, download this file from Microsoft." The link straight to that file is: http://activex.microsoft.com/controls/vc/mfc42.cab Once you have d/l this and installed it. Reboot your PC as it should ask you too. Then Install ICQ. And it should then work. You can then go about restoring your contacts and putting back your 2000b file etc, etc. Hope this works ! Michelle
