Comment:

My computer appears to have been infected by some kind of virus. The maximize, minimize, close and arrow icons have been replaced by numbers on all my programmes. The boxes where I tick things pages do not display properly either
In addition, I seem to have restricted access to fonts, as only a few are now available on Word, and the IE displays are often unreadable...
How can I fix this problem?

Thanks for your help!

John, If you have an Antivirus program update your virus definitions and run a full virus scan. If you don't, which you should, you could go to the link below and run the Free on-line Housecall virus scan.

I had a similar problem with The maximize, minimize and close icons. It finally was fixed by replacing my (Nvidia) video card.
