Comment: Hey Everybody. I have posted this question before, Hey come on, I know someone out there has the answer for me. Question is this: I have a program installed that allows the user to make "Fonts" under the Icons on the desktop to dissapear. I like a VERY clean desktop, and do not need the descriptive fonts under Icons. This program works fine untill you sign off and back on as a new user. (User Profiles). When you do this, your desktop pretty much fries itself. The QUESTION : Where in the Registry are the values or keys controling desktop fonts? And what value would need to be changed to make the fonts either the same color as the desktop background, or just not there? Thanks for any info on this. Michael

Reply: (edit)Under Registry Editor go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER then choose "Control Panel" then "Desktop" and finaly enter "WindowMetrics".Now on the right panel you will see an item called "IconFont".Double-click on it and a pop-up window will appear--That is where you can play with the windows icon fonts (and with the desktop icons fonts too).Note:Windows default font is MS Sans Serif->Good luck!
