Comment: Hello, Today, is this the first time this happened. On my IBM thinkpad 600 all of a sudden some of the keys wont work its the 2,w,s,x, x plus cap lock. I dont know if it might be dirty or what, but I am not sure how to get the keyboard out to see. What I am concerned about it, my daughter was the last one to use it, I new I shouldnt have let her use it. Any way. If you might have any suggestions, or know how I get the keys off, that would be great, Thanks Jenni

Reply: (edit)Go to IBM.com, support, and find and download the "hardware maintenance" manual. It will tell you, among other things, how to get the laptop apart, including removing the keyboard. I doubt, however, that you can repair these keys, although who knows. You can probably find a useable keyboard, or a parts laptop on eBay. There are many on there for parts, that get dropped, and the display damaged.
