Comment:

I have an IBM Thinkpad 600 and a Xircom XE2000 10/100 card. The Xircom card hasn't worked since I bought it and I've talked to Xircom tech support as well as IBM tech support. I also had my Thinkpad serviced by IBM and had a replacement Ethernet card sent by Xircom. I still have the same problem. I get an exclamation mark in the device manager where the Xircom card is. I disabled my modem, my IR, and even my sound to free up IRQs. Not only that, but I also flashed my bios, and followed the directions in the knowledge base of xircom's website to manually change the memory addresses under safe mode. Still no luck. Can anyone help?

I was using Win98....however, I decided to give it one final try by installing Win 2000 and upon installation, every device driver loaded with no conflicts (including the MPU-401) and I installed the Xircom drivers and that works too! Windows 2000 definitely fixed my problem :)
