Hi :-)
I have troubles booting an old IBM Thinkpas 560, model 2640.
I unfortunately made 2 active partiotions on the same hd :-(
So now it won't boot. I have tried many boot disks without any luck: fx win95, win95OEM, win 98, dos 6.22, linux (debian), dos 5.0, dos 3.0, win 98SE
It must be mentioned that there is only a external disk drive.
Anybody who knows how to solve this problem ?

best regards Morten

By external disk drive, are you talking Cd rom backpack device? If you are that can only be installed through windows. I put one of those on a Thinkpad 760c a few months ago. I tried to install it through dos. It said this program needs windows.
So my suggestion from here would be that if you can remove the hard drive from the laptop to get yourself a laptop adapter kit for about 8 bucks, then swap the laptop harddrive into your main pc. Fdisk/format it. Install windows, and your cd rom drivers, then reinstall it into your laptop.
