Comment: I'm using Internet Explorer 4.0 and I get alot of javascript errors i'm gussing it's because this IE is very out of date. I'm using the IE that orginally comes with Windows 98 A or whatever, it's not SE. The reason why i'm using a old IE is because its much faster and does not bog down my machine like say 5.1, 5.5 or 6.0 does. Now my question is it seems i have IE SP1 can i update this to like a SP2 id Microsoft put out one? well its kind of hard to explain but I want to update IE 4.0 to hopefully get rid of some of these javascript errors. So is this possible? and if so how would i go about getting this update? Thanks for any help.

Reply: (edit)How to Download Internet Explorer the Right Way . Print it before you download . http://windows.about.com/library/bl_iedownload_a.htm http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/recommended/ie501sp2/default.asp http://windows.about.com/compute/windows/gi/dynamic/offsite.htm?site=http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/download/ie501sp1.htm --------------- I use this Free browser , which has a built in pop up stopper . ( don't add , About Blank , to the existing filter list ) Uses very little resources ( No Add's ) & is as good as any other browser . Intergrates quitely into your system , does not take over . You can still run your normal browser , if you wish . Uses the IE engine , but is very fast & stable . http://www.crazybrowser.com/

Reply: (edit)The new Phoenix Browser from Mozilla is exceptionally fast. I have Win98 with IE4 installed but never using IE4. Was using Opera before Phoenix but haven't used it for a month.

Reply: (edit)To whoever is reading this trust me this is a good browser. I myself like IE alot to but I have a slow system so once I install a new IE my computer runs about 50 percent slower then before I updated. Also to the people who have old computers ever notice when flash comes up and your system gets really slow? well it doesnt with this browser. This browser also has a very good download program built in, it has the option to pause and resume. Also say I have like 90 percent recorices free when I open this browser I have 88, with IE I would have 84 and then when I would go to a web page I would have 82, then after a couple hours it would dip down to 78. Just trying to get accross i'm not a Microsoft hater anbd the type of person who praises any browser thats not Microsoft. This browser is good.
