Reply: (edit)"start" "settings" "control panel" "add remove programs" "windows setup tab" "accessories" "details" then click on wordpad and then the OK button , it will ask for the windows CD put it in and it will install wordpad for you.

Reply: (edit)Start, Settings, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Windows Setup, Accessories, Details. Check mark WordPad and click OK. You may be prompted for your Windows CD.

Reply: (edit)nanette Hope you realised that if WordPad isn't working it may need more than one file - check in Find. I should think the absolute minimum would be the .exe and the .cnt Derek
